A Better Experience;

As part of the People Systems team, the Workday HCM and Security Lead will participate in project work, operational work and enhancements, and support scaling Workday to meet Better’s expanding business needs. An ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Workday (particularly HCM, reporting, and security) and exceptional analytical, communication, and problem solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels or organizations.  This role creates and maintains the Workday security design for design, optimization, configurations, workflows, and tenants with direct triage to reports and integrations. This is a global role responsible for the development, maintenance and adherence to data security protocols and controls which permit accessibility to and ensure the integrity of the Workday HCM system at Better.  This role acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert ('SME') on the Workday HCM + Security framework.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in Workday implementation and support
  • HR knowledge and HR Technology/HRIS experience 
  • Experience managing cross functional teams and vendors
  • Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management
  • Demonstrated understanding of the cross functional dependencies and impacts to conversions and integrations
  • Demonstrated experience of hands-on experience on Workday security configuration e.g. data domains; security groups; security roles including role based, user based, segmented and intersecting security roles; migration of security configurations
  • Hands-on experience in configuring custom security in Workday
  • Experience in Workday system administration e.g. tenant management, version releases, regression testing
  • Preferred: has completed end to end implementations of Workday HCM and related modules; Completed relevant Workday training on HCM; Security training such as Configurable Security Fundamentals, Advanced Configurable Security, or  Integration Security

About You:

  • Oversee Workday applications and function as overall lead for day to day + HCM optimization projects
  • Lead HCM workstream driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to HCM functionality including, but not limited to: Recruiting, Talent and Performance, Advanced Comp, Payroll and Integrations
  • Serve as an advisor to HR business partners on industry standards and leading practices
  • Identify HCM strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to realize full potential of Workday
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and excellent communications skills
  • Manage third party support vendors
  • Migrates security configurations across tenants throughout the project
  • Analyzes any new HCM + security requirements or changes required, identifies impact of changes, performs and test security changes
  • Partners with relevant Better and partner resources to enable the following while performing the required Workday tasks:
    - SSO configuration
    - Multi-factor authentication
    - Mobile Access
