A Better opportunity:

The People Systems & Analytics team at Better is responsible for building systems and processes that operationalize and measure our Workforce strategy, with an emphasis on scalability and efficiency. We are looking for a People Systems Product Manager that will focus on building and executing the roadmap for our Talent and Performance and Compensation suite of products, enabling the growth and development of our employees. We're seeking an agile team-player who is enthusiastic about building something from scratch,  process improvement and data integrity. This position will play a critical role in our continued efforts to integrate our workforce systems into an enterprise solution aimed at creating a seamless employee experience across the globe. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build the global system strategy roadmap for all talent management, compensation, learning, and performance applications, products, and features. 
  • Advise cross function people teams with a “user first” mentality (i.e. HRBPs,  Total Rewards, People Development, Talent Acquisition, Finance) on tools, features, data structure and operational improvements to unlock productivity and enhance the employee experience. 
  • Meet on a recurring basis to understand needs, prioritize technology enhancement, uncover opportunities for improvement and automation. Establish regular technical review and readout cadence
  • Collaborate on implementation of new systems/processes to further streamline and automate HR business process
  • Evaluate current HR processes to identify areas for improvement through technical solutions
  • Oversee the rollout of systems optimizations projects in our portfolio
  • Partner with People Analytics team to build streamlined performance, development and compensation analytics. 
  • Collaborate on change management for the development of training and documentation for system use and maintenance.
  • Lead required systems audits and data cleanup exercises
  • Tracks contract compliance as applicable

About You:

  • BA/BS Degree 
  • 3+ years Workday experience at a fast paced, high growth company. (Although this role will not manage Workday).
  • 3+ years experience in talent management, learning and development, compensation, talent acquisition, or performance
  • 2+ years experience with applicant tracking systems preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years project management experience related to implementation of new, complex programs, systems and/or processes. Familiar with agile methodologies and project management practices. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy; ability to do root cause analysis to guide decisions and action plans where limited foundational/framework exists
  • Experience partnering with HR and business teams to design technology, processes and solutions to support the needs of the business.
  • Demonstrated understanding of domestic and international HR programs and processes
