The Role, Designer, Digital Ads

We're looking for a Designer with experience across paid social and digital advertising to help us change the way people buy homes. 

You will partner with writers and support Art Directors to craft memorable, and high-performing ads across channels like Facebook, Instagram, Google Display, and more. You are skilled in the art of storytelling using your skills in motion, video editing and design to create platform native content. 

This role is open to be hired remotely!

What you’ll do

  • Become an expert in crafting ads that portray the homebuying and homeownership space
  • Build ads using After Effects, Premiere, and Figma
  • Know the latest and best industry practices for paid social on major channels 
  • Understand A/B testing, comfortable with constant iterating and pivoting, based on data driven insights
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of what’s trending, culturally-relevant, and zeitgeisty in marketing and media 
  • Directly contribute to the mission of Better and the growth of the brand

 

About you

  • 2-4 years of design experience in digital marketing or social media 
  • You have worked in a high-growth performance marketing startup environment
  • Strong attention to detail, and also strong sense of curiosity
  • Strong skills and sense of typography, hierarchy, and visual composition
  • A portfolio that shows strong work across at least one these areas: paid/performance, product marketing, and social media
  • Able to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skills
  • Have a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Explain and defend conceptual and directional choices
  • Have a growth / testing mindset
