As an Email Marketing Copywriter, you’ll communicate directly with homebuyers and homeowners at key decision-making moments. Working directly with the Email Marketing Team, you’ll develop email copy that conveys the unique value of Better’s offering, keeps applicants informed throughout the home loan process, and drives action at every milestone. As a front-line representative of Better’s brand, you’ll help to ensure that our messaging is consistent, clear, and accurate across all of our email communications. You’ll be an advocate for the customer, adopting an empathic approach to marketing creative that exemplifies Better’s commitment to making homeownership simple, fair and accessible for all. 

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Developing messaging strategy and writing copy for email marketing campaigns 
  • Understanding the homebuyer’s mindset at key moments in their journey and crafting copy that speaks to their particular needs 
  • Partnering with the Email Ops Team to understand engagement metrics and optimize our email creative 
  • Collaborating with the Product Marketing Team to craft targeted messaging based on on audience segments and user behavior 
  • Working with our legal team to produce language that meets compliance requirements while confidently conveying Better’s value to the customer 

 

About you:

  • You’re a data-driven creative with 3 or more years of email marketing experience. 
  • You love to demystify complex concepts and create “a-ha” moments. 
  • You have a deep understanding of grammar and syntax, but you’re not afraid to break the rules to get your point across.  
  • You have empathy for your reader, and you understand how to drive action with words. 
  • You know your own speed, and you can manage expectations accordingly. 
  • You want to work with a team of fun, down to earth folks who take their work seriously, and themselves not so much.
