We're seeking a new team member to join our Compliance Department in Malta. We offer an engaging and fulfilling role, working alongside a diverse team of lawyers and compliance professionals.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Compliance Manager, you'll oversee the company's compliance obligations in specified regulated markets (UK & Netherlands), which include:
- Managing compliance obligations in the specified markets
- Handling the entire process of making applications to relevant regulators, licensing, and compliance reporting.
- Serving as the primary point of contact between the company and regulatory bodies.
- Developing and implementing company policies and procedures.
- Liaising with external legal advisors when necessary, evaluating and approving products and promotions, and monitoring the work of interest groups.
- Becoming the go-to person within the company for expertise in your areas of responsibility.
- Coordinating with the other teams within Compliance, specifically Compliance Governance and Technical Compliance to ensure adequate management of the specified markets
You will report to the Team Lead for the relevant Compliance Region and work alongside other Compliance Managers and Compliance Officers. The Compliance team sits within the Legal and Compliance department, mainly based in Malta.
Requirements:
- University degree in law or business, though qualifications in other fields may also be considered.
- 5 years' experience in a compliance/legal environment or 3 years’ experience if such experience took place in the online gaming industry.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change, and maintain a proactive approach to your work.
- Capacity to work independently and make informed decisions once established in the role.
- Fluency in Dutch (first preference) and French (second preference) would be highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in international business communication is essential.
