As a Nordic Sports Trader, you will be responsible for creating pre-match odds and trading live matches across a variety of sports events, primarily focusing on leagues from the Nordic region (Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland).
Responsibilities:
- Create pre-match odds and conduct live match trading for various sports events.
- Handle sports such as Football, Ice Hockey, Handball, Basketball, Floorball, Bandy, and Winter sports including Cross Country Skiing, Biathlon, Alpine Skiing, and Ski Jumping.
- Settle markets as required.
- Monitor and analyze customer activity, reporting to the Customer Risk Analyst team.
- Manage risk by observing market movements and reacting swiftly and accurately. Communicate with third-party trading providers.
- Collaborate with the Sportsbook and Marketing teams to ensure Betsson consistently offers competitive products and services.
During Shifts, Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Deliver 2nd-line customer support via different communication channels in collaboration with customer care team.
- Monitor odds fluctuations and incoming bets using assorted monitoring tools.
- Manually evaluate and process incoming bet requests.
- Promptly report any instances of suspected fraudulent betting activity to the Risk Manager and the Payments/Fraud Department.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of sportsbook products.
- Broad knowledge of Nordic sports and winter sports.
- Proficient in mathematics, including statistics and probabilities.
- Competent in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Ability to think swiftly and perform under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Positive and outgoing personality, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Dedication, accountability, and a proactive approach.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, encompassing unsociable hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: Finnish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Icelandic.
Bonus Qualification:
- Prior experience in sports betting or comparable roles.
- Previous experience in compiling odds independently is advantageous but not required.
