We are looking for a brilliant legal mind to join our Legal and Compliance team as a Lead Compliance Manager for our Latin America Regional Compliance Team.
The Challenge
This role is charged with the responsibility of providing practical and commercially-focused compliance advice in regard to the Latin American operations, while managing relevant licence applications and ensuring that business conducts activities in a way which is compliant with all relevant license requirements. This includes acting as a liaison between the business and relevant regulators. Also this role encompass people manager responsibilities in managing the LATAM Regional Compliance team members.
You will report to the Director of Compliance, working closely with the Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel for Betsson Operations. You must also be available for travel abroad from time to time.
You will be mainly responsible for:
- Managing all licence applications and ensuring ongoing compliance of relevant licences held by Betsson Group in LATAM
- Advising and counselling the organisation on a wide-range of compliance issues and regulatory matters associated with the commercial operations, with an emphasis on structuring and implementation of complex business projects; More generally, you will be responsible for identifying compliance issues, providing analysis of business/operational/compliance risks and creating and implementing solutions structured to achieve business objectives efficiently;
- Coordinating with other members of the Legal and Compliance team on various aspects of legal and compliance matters arising in LATAM
- Managing regulatory audits and inspections as may arise from time to time
- Managing relationships with external legal counsel as required
- Following the work of interest groups and other relevant associations and working with the Head of Regulatory Affairs on company-specific positions
- Keeping abreast of developments in approaches to regulation
- Manage LATAM regional compliance team.
- Leadership of our team in Latam
What we are looking for
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A law, business, IT, or other degree if a candidate has a relevant work experience in the compliance area
- Knowledge of Spanish and English languages
- At least 5 years’ experience in compliance, preferably in the gaming industry (whether in the private or public sector)

- Applying a pragmatic approach and offering suitable solutions to business while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
- Creating the compliance structure within the team and organization
- Prioritisation of tasks according to business needs
- Communicating fluently both verbally and in writing in the English language and in business-related matters
