Job Purpose

  • The Product Release & Monitoring Specialist will responsible for the final stages of the product development life cycle starting from the launch planning through execution and subsequently monitoring. Your job is to own the seamless assimilation of the product into the market starting with the internal team, obtain feedback on newly released products and pass them through to the product owners for action.

  • Release management
    • You will map out release plans in preparation for the launch of a new product or feature 
    • Actively engage with key stakeholders in house in executing product launches 
    • Following up with customer support, commercial and other external stakeholders to obtain feedback, identify issues and bridge knowledge gaps relative to the launch of a new product or feature 
    • Liaise with the product owners in resolving or modifying bugs and features respectively
    • Document and track release notes for references 
  • Product Monitoring
    • You will determine, monitor and analyze key product performance metrics and identify actions to be taken
    • Developing user journey maps that are considered during testing infusing quality checks in the process 
    • Keeping a record of each product monitoring round for reference – a bug tracking system is included here 
    • Assisting with the analysis of issues that may arise within the system discovered during tests or from end-user feedback 
    • Draw recommendations from monitoring activities and relating them to the product owners  
    • Coordinate release preparation with training, support, marketing; ensuring release notes and other crucial details are properly communicated 
    • Working closely with developers and product owners to ensure quality is considered relative to the types of tests that are run 
    • Leading the UAT every time there are new or updated releases on all platforms; following up with product owners and developers to identify and fix root cause of product downtime  
    • Collaborate with the product owner relative to new feature releases  
    • Liaise with customer experience department to identify customer pain-points and relate to the product owners for action 
    • Monitor and respond to external contributors including competitive analysis and technology trends 
  • Operations
    • Product reporting accuracy 
    • Innovation: Recommendation based on monitoring activities 
    • Frequency of down-times (based on category) 
    • Customer satisfaction: User experience and product performance
