Role Overview

Fervently work between buyer, seller, and lender to create a lasting impact on the closing of the home, ensuring buyer has the best home buying experience possible.

Role Values

  • Work directly with lenders to produce closing documents and ensure closing occurs as scheduled
  • Review title commitments, sales agreements, and other applicable closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Review and balance closing disclosure or HUD-1 settlement statement to ensure proper disbursement of closing funds
  • Ensure all notaries are correctly filled out and documented
  • Prepare closing disclosures/HUD-1 settlement statements necessary to complete closing
  • Review and assist with the clearing of Schedule C items
  • Review and obtain all buyer documentation for closing
  • Assist seller with the closing transaction
  • Maintain working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the title industry
  • Assist title examiner periodically with title abstract

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be orderly and systematic
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written format
  • Must be detailed and task oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on various projects at the same time to meet deadlines
  • 5-7 years experience
  • Maintain active escrow license in the state of Texas
  • Must have real estate title knowledge
  • SoftPro title software experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Works in temperature-controlled environment
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch
  • Superior communication skills with co-workers, customers, trade partners, and vendors
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance
  • Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds

Hours & Schedule

  • 40-45 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F)
  • After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, events, or to meet deadlines
  • Lunch meetings and events outside of normal working hours are required
  • Occasional travel to other company regions or event locations is required
