Job Summary

Utilize analytical thinking and automated processes to ensure the outstanding quality and integrity of everything our Software Team produces or enhances, ultimately helping our companies and their teams to become more efficient and effective.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform Quality Assurance testing for software feature upgrades/changes. Analyze results to ensure that software performs as required
  • Design, run, maintain, and analyze test suites to verify code integrity and the absence of regression on a variety of platforms
  • Work closely with development and product teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of how the software is used throughout the company, ensuring that testing reflects actual usage and not strictly intended design
  • Serve as a champion and a voice for software end-users, bringing to light shortcomings or inefficiencies
  • Run automated tests and regression tests, reporting any bugs or anomalies in a bug tracking system
  • Write tests and debug on a variety of platforms
  • Assist in completing corrective actions for certain identified defects
  • Commit to expanding technological skills and knowledge of the Betenbough systems and processes
  • Report and communicate findings within the development team daily
  • Document test procedures using test management tools to ensure repeatability and compliance with business processes
  • Write, review, and edit technical documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and to mitigate risks
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 1 year of either software development or software quality assurance experience 
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (XUnit, Selenium, Fit, Mocha, Jest, etc.)
  • Comfortable using management tools like Clubhouse or Jira
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Ability to define complex test scenarios and execute QA testing to prove functionality of software per requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective decision making and problem-solving skills involving troubleshooting basic to moderate issues
  • Strong organizational skills, self-starter and driven for excellence
  • Effective analytical ability, particularly in a technical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of relational database structures including fields, tables, views, database objects, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, C# and .NET framework required 
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies required
  • Basic knowledge of version control concepts and tooling required
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of software development tools a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the US. Our company currently does not provide sponsorship.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Works in temperature-controlled environment
  • Vision for near, mid-range and far as well as hearing for low, medium, and high pitch
  • Superior communication skills with co-workers, customers, trade partners and vendors
  • Requires physical ability for standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license and must be able to be insured by company fleet insurance
  • Must be able to perform all job expectations safely with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift 15-30 pounds

Work Schedule

  • 40-45 hours per week (8am-5pm, M-F)
  • After hours and weekends may be necessary on occasion for trips, emergencies, events, or to meet deadlines
  • Lunch meetings and events outside of normal working hours are required
