What you will do:
- Strategic leadership for global product compliance, including the management of a three-person team
- Minimization of the risks for the company through legally compliant products and transparent, documented processes
- Identification of legal, technical and safety issues and definition of corrective actions
- Identification of applicable regulatory requirements, risk assessment and legal research, product conformity assessment and co-certification management
- Point of contact for national and international authorities and are responsible for professional communication with all stakeholders involved
- Monitoring and implementation of the regulatory updates of the BBGs sales markets
- Process development to constantly monitor and control product safety and product legal compliance
- Process development and optimization of technical product documentation, creation of internal documents (DoCs, DoPs) for existing and new items
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience of managing product compliance topics, certifications and co-certifications as well as product testings in relation to physical products (e.g. electric, fashion, consumer products), ideally in e-commerce
- Experience with EU directives for product conformity (Mainly for CE-relevant products)
- Understanding of the legal regulations from technical/chemical/toxicological point of view and the role of risk assessment and mitigation
- Ideally prior experience in managing teams
- Ideally completed degree with a technical or legal focus and interest in sustainability and consumer safety
- Excellent communicator with a high level of organization and impeccable attention to detail
- Fluency in German and English
