The Global Production Operations (GPO) Analyst – Excel Automation is an individual who supports GPO and the production network by creating, developing, maintaining, and improving templates used within various mortgage banking, investment sales, and underwriting teams.




  • Build/maintain Automated Excel templates for GPO and Production network
  • Work exclusively within a specific knowledge area (Macro Express and Visual Basic coding)
  • Collaborate with the Excel liaison and business stakeholders to ensure stakeholder requirements are met and exceeded
  • Understand, consolidate and analyze data from spreadsheets
  • Develop macros in VBA (Visual Basic Applications)
  • Prepare test scripts and run the tests prior to template release on the Production Resources website
  • Prepare training documents for launching the templates and conduct trainings
  • Conduct trainings on basics of Excel for new hires
  • Resolve template or excel related queries from analysts
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop solutions to remedy inefficiencies within templates
  • Work on special projects as assigned by managers
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by managers




  • Bachelor’s degree in any field required
  • Fluency in English – Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comprehend legal language
  • Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate industry preferred
  • Knowledge of building queries in SQL/VB/MS Excel Macros/maintaining Access Database is required
  • Knowledge of MS PowerBI is preferred
  • Ability to understand key performance indicators and measurements impacting work products
  • Display growth mindset with an openness to upskill
  • Willingness and ability to learn technology tools and drive usage and adoption of tools within teams
  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
