What you will do
As a Junior Accountant joining our team, you will be required to attend to the accounting and tax compliance needs of our clients. The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Apply broad skillset across data and analytics to understand business problems, create insights and provide practical solutions
- Compilation of electronic workpapers and audit file in accordance with filing and naming conventions;
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns using BGL360 software;
- Preparation of business activity statements (BAS/IAS);
- Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts;
- Compilation of journal entries;
- Communication with Australian team members in respect of queries and review points;
What we are looking for
The role will suit an accounting graduate with a client-centric work style, who is looking to begin their full-time career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
- Open to fresh graduates or with a few years of work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, AP processing or related roles
- BS Accountancy or equivalent graduates, required
- Willing to learn and be trained for Australian accounting and tax compliance
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our AU professional staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
- Impressive performance during tertiary studies
