TEAM & ROLE

This is an exciting career opportunity at a dynamic growth-stage startup. In this role, you will be motivated to drive awareness of how modern spending accounts and LSAs increase employee’s perceived value of benefits and provide personalization and flexibility of choice by engaging and educating health benefits consultants.

As a Regional Strategic Alliances Manager at Benepass, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining relationship opportunities with health benefits brokers and consultants in an effort to increase the visibility of Benepass, ultimately leading to more broker and consultant-generated sales opportunities. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Alliances team, Sales, Client Success, Product, Marketing as well as other internal stakeholders to assist in delivering an engaging and effective message in the market.

ROLE LOCATION & TRAVEL

This is a remote role based in the U.S., with a preference for candidates in the Midwest or the South. The position involves up to 30% travel for client meetings.

ABOUT YOU

  • Heighten awareness of Benepass with SMEs, Innovation Leaders with high-value strategic partners (Mercer, AON, WTW, Gallagher, Lockton, etc.). through virtual and onsite meetings and events.
  • Build understanding about our solutions and capabilities, and expand the broader conversion around spending account strategies with key innovation leaders in the benefits consultant/broker space. 
  • Own the day-to-day management of assigned partners and their clients and act as the liaison between Benepass and a targeted group of SMEs.
  • Identify and cultivate new SME Consultant relationships and partnerships. 
  • Develop growth strategies and execution plans that deliver high revenue goals through driving qualified opportunities from Consultants to the sales team. 
  • Execute on various marketing campaigns that generate demand and awareness. 
  • Collaborate with Strategic Alliances and Cross-Functional Leaders from internal teams including Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Success and Operations to execute against strategic goals. 
  • Develop and negotiate assigned Partnerships with National Consulting Houses and Preferred Vendor Status Agreements. 
  • Established a regular education rhythm with key regional consulting houses and participated in innovation days (or the like) with the goal of influencing what consultants present to their clients.
  • Represent Benepass at national and regional conferences and events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in the employer healthcare benefit consultant/broker space.
  • Experience in channel, consulting strategy or business development.
  • Good track record of sourcing, developing and maintaining partner relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skill-building skills, polished communications and proven track record of success with strategic account management.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the health/benefits landscape.
  • Self-starter, reliable team player with the ability to deliver quality projects on time.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast past and every changing environment and can successfully manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
  • Working closely with sales to create down-funnel opportunities.
  • Ability to travel 25%-30% of the time.
  • Must be located in the South or Midwest 

BONUS SKILLS

  • Past experience working as a consultant relations manager at a digital health organization and/or carrier and/or as an employee benefit consultant.
  • Experience building and executing against a regional strategy.
  • Knowledge of Google suite, Salesforce and Outreach

Range(s) and leveling is subject to change. Benepass takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including your expectations, how you interview, peer compensation, and years of experience. We also look at the market data using Pave (Option Impact). 

Travel

  • Certain roles may involve occasional travel. You will be expected to attend company-wide on-site events three times per year.

Location

  • Although we operate as a 100% US Remote company, certain positions may necessitate occasional attendance at one of our offices in NY or Oakland. Additionally, some roles may require residence in specific geographic regions or time zones.
