As a member of the growth team you will be part of a cross-collaborative team containing product, engineering, marketing, design and data people with a clear focus on impact and company growth. In your role as a “Growth Data Analyst” you’ll serve as a bridge between Beekeeper’s data and product teams with the mission of helping define product KPIs, driving product performance insights and support data-driven decision making. Within the Growth Team specifically, your goals will include discovering and defining key growth levers, tracking and measuring the impact of launched features, analysing user behaviour and supporting the entire team with the mission of growing the user base exponentially. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support in other growth efforts such as digital marketing, product work or engineering depending on your individual skills. We’re looking for an experienced data analyst that can take a leading, expert role in driving data efforts around data tracking enablement and producing data insights at Beekeeper.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leverage Beekeeper’s wealth of data - product, marketing and otherwise -  to prototype and build key business metrics that help business partners in making informed decisions, using tools such as Looker and SQL
  • Derive key levers for the Growth Team in its efforts to drive key metrics along the pirate metrics funnel to unlock exponential user growth
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to investigate, implement and maintain our event tracking framework (we currently use Mixpanel, among other things) to deliver consistent product usage insights in the long-term 
  • Analyse user behaviour to identify opportunities to improve key metrics like weekly- and monthly active usage
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and innovation of the Mission of Data at Beekeeper
  • Become a key figure in our Product Data Tracking efforts at the intersection between Engineering and internal Data Consumers (ie, Looker Users) by designing, implementing and maintaining solutions to enable consistent delivery of insights

What we look for in you

Experience - meaning minimum 1-2 years in a role involving these tasks and domains - with:

  • Implementing, wrangling and analysing product data from events streams
  • ̇Writing advanced SQL for analytics (for instance, using window functions)
  • Scripting in Python/Node.js/R
  • Building analytical dashboards in Looker or a similar BI tool (for instance, Tableau)

As well as:

  • Outstanding critical thinking skills
  • Strong data analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that allow you to convey insights from complex data sets
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and semi-independently 
  • Strong collaboration skills to work closely with the Growth & Data Team and other business functions
  • Understanding and willingness to also support the Growth Team with team efforts that are outside of the data domain
  • Well-organised and structured approach to challenges with many unknowns

Bonus Points

  • Working experience in a technology or SaaS company
  • A demonstrated track record of conducting high-impact, in-depth data analysis
  • Additional experience with either marketing, product or engineering to support other growth efforts
  • Exposure and/or knowledge around tracking usage of mobile applications
  • Familiar with fast paced environments and lot of challenges to solve
