Job Summary:
The Junior Accounting Clerk will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including analysis, general ledger accounting, inventory, accounts payable, billing, and receivables.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including general ledger accounting, inventory, accounts payable, billing, and receivables.
- Prepares analysis as requested by management.
- Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
- Distributes accounting reports as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Accounting degree or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
