The Role - What will you be doing?

We are looking for an aspiring Customer Success Onboarding/KYC Analyst who is passionate about the payments, financial services, or crypto industry. Reporting to the Customer Success Manager, the Customer Success Onboarding/KYC Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that new clients are supported through the onboarding process at BCB and assisting them from the start of their journey and documentation completion stage, right through to the go-live of their accounts and commencement of their business activity. 

The successful candidate will need to have an understanding of outstanding customer service and be able to liaise with customers across various communication channels and mediums. The ideal candidate will thrive  on Facing off against our customers and giving them the attention and care they deserve, as part of our platinum customer service expectations. The ideal candidate will be able to take ownership, solve problems, and direct issues that arise daily to the correct team within the organisation through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform the due diligence of the client onboarding, ensuring the accuracy of the data and make a risk assessment on new clients;
  • Ensure client onboarding and account opening processes are carried out effectively and accurately in line with the BCB’s policies and procedures and FCA Guidelines;
  • Collect and analyse documents such as ID proofs, financial statements, and other relevant information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Work closely with other teams, such as compliance, legal, and risk management, to ensure a coordinated approach to customer due diligence;
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to senior management and other stakeholders to support informed decision-making;
  • Be able to track responses from clients, create and escalate issues as needed, and close issues when completed;
  • Assisting clients with any questions they have as part of the onboarding exercise and helping them throughout the documentation submission process;
  • Have a strong focus on client experience;
  • Actively participate in developing, testing, and implementing new processes.

So, what are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of multiple client types i.e., Corporates (Public & Private), Trusts, Partnerships, Financial Institutions, Charities, Funds and Pensions
  • Experience of completing ,as well as, peer reviewing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR’s) 
  • Working knowledge of KYC/Financial Crime/AML procedures and standards
  • ICA, ACAMS or other qualifications will be an advantage
  • Confident and proactive in communicating with people at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to work in a concise and methodical manner
  • Ability to deal with high-pressure time-sensitive and deal-breaking tasks 
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Experience with cryptocurrencies is advantageous, but not required.
  • Strong research and excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to adapt to changes
  • An understanding of various payments rails such as FPS, CHAPS, SEPA & SWIFT is advantageous
