Job Title:  Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Architect – Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)


Job Summary

Unique leadership opportunity for experienced Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) professional, specializing in Workday HCM and strategic initiatives.

The Senior Manager will lead the expansion of BAYADA’s Workday HCM capabilities.  In this role, you will partner with People/HR Centers of Excellence teams and business leaders to define strategic priorities, identify key initiatives, and align programs to further develop and leverage Workday HCM capabilities. You will provide insight in how to deal with current and future challenges, and facilitate a process to guide decision-making in collaboration with strategic owners and key stakeholders. You will  work closely with cross functional resources to ensure all people strategies are architected with a clear understanding of dependencies, connections and risks. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and successful execution of the Workday HCM roadmap.

 Primary Responsibilities 

  • Provide direction on Workday HCM by identifying opportunities, dependencies and risks.
  • Lead and manage the Workday HCM (Core HR, Talent, Learning, Reporting) strategic roadmap and associated initiatives.
  • Gather required data and synthesize information, highlighting associated risks and changes needed for successful adoption to strategic owners and key stakeholders to create an effective strategy.
  • Help facilitate decisions based on deep understanding of how a plan or strategy may affect other processes and promote approaches to identify a shared purpose from stakeholders.
  • Apply a design thinking mindset to architect an overall implementation and change management plan that accounts for interdependencies and opportunities.
  • Anticipate business needs and present possible directions and future strategies for the People Group to consider through research and innovation methods.
  • Understand best practices, analyze emerging trends, research new functionality.
  • Provide recommendations and educate the broader People/HR Group.
  • Create structure, frameworks and processes from concept to pilot into scalable solution. .
  • Collaborate with business partners to capture and document requirements for Workday enhancements.
  • Design and develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation to support change management.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in Workday HCM with a focus on product adoption and evolution.
  • Provide Workday expertise, direction, mentoring and guidance to other team members.
  • Act as business analyst partnering closely with points of contact within the People/HR Functional areas and IT.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements and optimization.
  • Research, diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop business requirements documents.
  • Support major Workday HCM releases by researching new functionality.
  • Educate the broader People/HR team on enhancements.

 Minimum Qualifications 

  • Four (4) year college degree in business, organizational development human resources, information systems or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in HR, strategic consulting, HR strategies and/or Workday HCM
  • Workday HCM: three (3) + years (Required).
  • Five (5) years’ experience in supporting major Workday releases by researching new functionality, configuration, and support of HR systems (Required).
  • Demonstrated ability to align Workday HCM capabilities with company’s strategic goals.
  • Experience supporting major Workday releases.
  • Participation in at least one full life cycle Workday HCM implementation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday Core HR, Reporting concepts and configuration preferred.
  • Experience providing strategic direction and oversight of Workday HCM implementations.
  • Ability to advise and consult on Workday HCM functionality and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with all levels throughout the organization.
  • Experience in the implementation of Human Resources systems.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and data throughout the employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, job changes, talent management, learning, and total rewards.
  • Passion for analyzing complex business processes, understanding the details, and providing solutions to everyday business problems.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into consumable concepts to facilitate decision making and establish future direction.
  • Ability to act as a business-minded change agent within the organization.
  • The ability to learn quickly, build and retain a functional knowledge base.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations.
  • Completion of Workday training in Core HR, Reporting preferred.
