About your role
As a Financial Specialist at Baubap, you mission is to provide critical support in analyzing and evaluating the financial elements tied to our funding activities. Your primarily role will involve collaborating with the Finance Team to compile and analyze financial information, thus helping in the deliberation of strategic decisions to facilitate informed decision-making and optimize our funding strategies
Outcomes
- Debt Strategy Optimization: This person will be key in refining our debt strategy, ensuring it aligns with market conditions, regulatory requirements, and our organizational objectives, leading to cost-efficient capital raising.
- Market Analysis and Insights: By analyzing market trends and interpreting data, will provide insights that help the team understand shifts in investor sentiment and capital flows.
- Financial Structuring: Will help tackling the complexity of structuring deals to optimize financial terms and conditions.
- Risk Management: By developing and applying risk assessment models, will help identify potential financial risks associated with various debt instruments, enabling proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Compliance and Reporting: As regulations and reporting standards evolve, will ensure that all debt-related activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining impeccable standards of financial reporting.
- Investor Relations: Assist in the effective communication with current and potential investors
- Process Efficiency: Identifying and implementing improvements in the operational workflow will be key to increasing the efficiency of the Debt Capital Markets team’s processes, from due diligence to the execution of debt issues.
Day to day
- Help, create and deliver financial analysis and reporting to decision making related to funding.
- Preparation and submission of established monthly/weekly reports to funding partners/banks/financial entities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases, records, and documentation related to funding transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Support the team in financing and capital raise processes.
- Debt & Equity due diligence process.
- Monitor covenants established in loan agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets within a finance team.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the skill to clearly present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of modeling and analysis.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in Fintech
- Knowledge / experience with SOFIPO entities.
