About your role
As a FP&A Specialist, your primary role is to design, develop, and maintain advanced financial models that accurately forecast the company’s financial performance and inform critical strategic decisions, and it will be key in making us better at seeing ahead, figuring out new opportunities for our business, and understanding what risks we might face. Is not just a role but a strategic asset to Baubap, envisioned to grow in influence and impact, paralleling the company's trajectory towards becoming the most inclusive digital bank in LATAM.
Outcomes
- Improve the accuracy of financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct thorough analyses for key strategic and financial decisions.
- Support the DCM team to evaluate financing and debt options.
- Optimize financial modeling processes to enhance decision-making efficiency.
- Provide top-notch financial analysis and valuation support for strategic project execution.
- Ensure all financial models comply with regulatory standards.
- Support Series A fundraising process with comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analysis.
Day to day
- Develop and Update Financial Models: Regularly develop new and update existing financial models to reflect the latest financial data, assumptions, and business strategies.
- Perform Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct Sensitivity and Scenario Analysis: Routinely perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess the financial implications of various strategic and operational decisions.
- Financial Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present financial reports and model outputs to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Support Fundraising Efforts: Provide detailed financial analysis and valuation models to support the Series A fundraising process, including preparing materials for investor presentations.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial modeling processes, including exploring new tools, software, and methodologies.
- Training and Development: Engage in ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial modeling, analysis, or a related field within a finance team, with a proven track record of developing complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Experience with financial modeling software (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) and databases.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts related to forecasting, valuation, and investment analysis, including NPV, IRR, and DCF models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the skill to clearly present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of modeling and analysis.
Nice to have:
- Certifications such as CFA, CPA
- Previous experience in Fintech
- Knowledge / experience with SOFIPO entities
