Job Overview:

Basis Technology is looking for an experienced Director of Product Marketing to build out, manage, and execute the product marketing practice for our Rosette product line. Working closely with a team across our marketing, product, and documentation teams you’ll help us reach our customers and listen to their needs and the needs of the market. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead our product marketing team as we grow to ensure the promise and functionality of our products is communicated to stakeholders - customers, partners, and the market - in their own language
  • Work with our product, documentation, and marketing teams to unify our story so that we are all speaking the same language to our customers throughout our resources
  • Understand our customers: Be the expert on our customers, why and how they buy and help map out their customer journey. 
  • Understand our competitors: Work closely with the product, growth, and marketing organizations to understand who our competitors are, how they are positioned, and our place in our market
  • Understand our market: Work with our CPO to determine how our customers communicate, learn, and think about the problems that are mission critical for their business
  • Work with our release manager and marketing department to position and communicate our new features and releases to our customers and prospects as well as to develop launch plans for new products

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing with proven leadership
  • Experience working in a B2B enterprise environment with a technical product
  • Excellent communication and editing skills and a strong ability to translate technical capabilities in ways that resonate with our end users
  • Experience with both the strategic and the tactical and a plan on how to use both to build out our practice
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders
