Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers, accounts and markets, develop new business, and cultivate existing relationships using sales activities to maximize revenue.
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Navigate through the sales process including qualifying, negotiating, closing and detailing group and/or catering leads;
  • Review, evaluate and execute sales contracts with customers;
  • Advanced level of producing revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, making presentations, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. 
  • Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.

 

Basic Requirements:

 

  • 2 years plus hotel sales and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotels in the Midland, TX area.
  • Experience creating relationships and deals with B2C and B2B sales with different segments (small/medium companies, colleges/universities, others).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in sales/business development for the MainStay Suites, Hilton or other big brand hotels in the Midland, Texas area.
