The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our internationally distributed cross-functional team focused on growing the Barges brands. The ideal candidate is an experienced analyst with a wide breadth of experience across financial, marketing, and product analytics.

The Senior Data Analyst will bring rigor and data driven recommendations to our Product, Marketing, and FP&A teams in pursuit of cost-effective new user acquisition, existing user retention, and monetization / LTV. The analyst will analyze large amounts of data, create appropriate models & metrics, and interpret operational trends.

The role requires effective communication of concise findings and recommendations to functional managers and senior executives. The analyst will create and enhance economic models and tracking dashboards as well as lead AB test design and interpretation of new product features and marketing programs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead all aspects of analytics for our Barges family of brands – Purple Garden, Purple Ocean, and BitWine
  • Be the authority on the source data used to segment users, track user engagement, and assess the impact of product changes to customer lifetime value
  • Implement KPI and Tableau dashboards to track volume and economic trends in user acquisition, retention and monetization
  • Proactively explore email, web, and transactional data by user segment to surface insights that drive product and marketing improvements
  • Champion a test and learn mindset by generating hypotheses, designing AB tests, and rigorously interpreting statistical results
  • Clearly communicate findings and actionable insights to teammates and executive leadership who are distributed across multiple time zones
  • Iterate on existing KPI for acquisition, retention, and monetization to surface fresh insights.
  • Recommend changes to matching algorithms that maximize conversion rates and LTV
  • Partner with product team to evaluate alternatives for generating recommendations
  • Create price elasticity models to clarify the effect of price floors and rev share agreements

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

  • 5+ years of broad financial, marketing, and/or product analytics experience
  • Proven ability to frame and solve problems by extracting insight from raw data
  • Proficient with SQL and at least one BI reporting tool (Tableau preferred)
  • A curious mind and exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Desire to learn new tools as needed: Iterable, Optimizely, Mixpanel, GA
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo, ask questions, and roll-up sleeves to get things done
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a wide range of skillsets – engineers to creatives
  • BA/BS in Applied Math, Statistics, Analytics, or related discipline; MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of python and Snowflake a plus
