We are an internationally recognized, Emmy Award®-winning studio – in two prominent Canadian cities, Vancouver and Kelowna – and the creative force behind top audience hits such as The Dragon Prince, Rick and Morty, Teen Titans Go!, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
The Senior Organic Modeler works with the Modeling Supervisor to define the appearance of CG assets. In this role, you will be building the environments for our characters. You will work closely with our creative team to design, model, and set dress environments that meet the client's expectations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create detailed organic sets and vegetation that match the concepts and design 1:1
- Use the scattering system to populate sets
- Optimize assets for efficient rendering and performance while maintaining visual quality
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of assets into the pipeline
- Meet and maintain project deadlines consistently
- Support and mentor junior artists, offering guidance and instruction
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of modeling experience on fully animated or hybrid feature films
- A demo reel that demonstrates examples of highly detailed organic models, sculpting, and poly-modeling
- Demonstrated knowledge in Maya and Zbrush
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Excellent visual skills and attention to detail
- Ability to receive creative direction and feedback
- Willingness to share knowledge and experience with others
- Applicants must reside within BC
- Start Date: April 2024
- Vancouver Pay Range: $1,700 - $2,000 CAD Weekly
The Salary Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee who possesses full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
