What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the Messaging domain to lead the growth of Bandwidth’s Global Messaging product portfolio for brand to consumer digital engagement.  The role is Product Owner for a global high-performance scrum-based development team(s), prioritizing the product backlog, documenting plans and working with customers to build solutions to solve their problems efficiently.  They are a lifelong agile learner and aspiring or current master of agile processes and have managed products as a Product Owner for a scrum team. They own discovery in determining the products and features, setting the goals to guide the prioritization of the product direction and product strategy for building new products and features.  To ensure the products overall success, they partner with key stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Operations and Finance, among others, to define and execute the product strategy, and ensure early and repeatable on-going success of major product launches.

What You'll Do:

  • Shape the vision, strategy, and drive the execution of our Global Messaging products including integration with OTT messaging applications.
  • Define the roadmap and manage development priorities for your portfolio balancing the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with key customers.
  • Define the customer journey, customer personae, use cases and create clarity around their needs.
  • Drive go-to-market and ensure sales goals, customer experience goals and customer business needs are met or exceeded. 
  • Be a subject matter expert on Messaging around the globe.  
  • Act as the “voice of the customer” on our development team in the product owner role.
  • Be accountable to business outcomes such as product adoption by customers.
  • Make key results and goals visible to all stakeholders and interpret them into actionable conclusions and new hypotheses.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies as an active equal member of one or more international software development teams.
  • Act as primary internal liaison, collaborating with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, regulatory, operations, finance, … to identify accurate go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure the product is designed based on deep knowledge of the users, market, and technology translating market observations and customer feedback into a prioritized product backlog.

What You Need:

  • BA/BS degree in business, engineering, or computer science
  • A minimum of 3 years of product management experience, preferably working as a Scrum Product Owner in communication software - a digital engagement platform.
  • Experience launching Brand to Consumer software products in an agile environment, particularly in the communications industry
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Critical thinker and solution-oriented problem solver
  • A fearless, never-settle, attitude that will challenge the way we do things, and a refusal to accept the status quo; making us even better than we are today
  • Broad experience with software design and development technologies and methodologies
  • Experience building SaaS or Cloud-Based Products
  • Experience working with Agile Scrum Methodologies
  • Demonstrated leadership of direct and/or indirect teams
  • Highly analytical skills with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their quantitative implications
  • Blend strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable yet persistent, relentlessly curious, and clearly communicate and engage with key stakeholders
