What We Are Looking For:

As the Web Apps Product Manager at Bandwidth, you will be responsible for leading and driving the discovery, design, development, and delivery of new products and features. In this role, you’ll service both internal and external users, creating early product trials, conducting primary research to validate customer needs, and identify new market opportunities. You will have a long-term vision with your approach to problems and can pivot on short notice. 

In this role you will own our main customer web app, serving all of our customers daily, as they manage their technical setup and business profile with us. You’ll be in charge of the life cycle, maintenance, ongoing development and future evolution of this application. You’ll lead and support a team of front-end developers through these activities. You’ll lay out a vision for the application and work together with the team, and others around the company, to execute on it.

The Web Apps Product Manager is part of the Customer Experience Foundation (CXF) team, newly launched at Bandwidth to drive the creation of best-in-class services for our customers and build innovative web and software foundations for delivery teams across Bandwidth as they build their application on top of them.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead market validation and customer discovery efforts for initiatives that cut across all product verticals and industry segmentsCreate, evangelize, and maintain UI roadmap
  • Evolve products and features based on metrics and documented evidence.
  • Work with senior leadership to establish a steady flow of new technology (while maintaining existing infrastructure) and service opportunities through external awareness events.
  • Work with user experience (UX) and developer experience (DX) leaders and their teams to create early mockups and prototypes, then see them through to production-level software.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, legal, and information security teams to implement go-to-market strategies, ensuring an understanding of positioning, key benefits, and target customers.
  • Occasional international travel may be involved.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management Role
  • For this position, we’ll also consider candidates with 5+ years of Project Managers, Senior Developers or Architects with strong product and UX orientation, who have worked on SaaS/Web apps and are looking to transition into product-focused roles.
  • Experience in SaaS business delivery models
  • Must work well in dynamic environments, where direction may pivot based on market feedback and customer needs
  • Must have experience working with software development teams, leading successful product launches and migrations for both UIs and APIs
  • Experience working directly with development teams to set, prioritize, and maintain a fully visible backlog
  • Strong knowledge of user experience (UX) and developer experience (DX) principles
  • Able to apply Scrum and Agile methodologies in a product manager role
  • Excellent written and verbal communications – You will be speaking as a thought leader with industry leaders and customers, as well as internal stakeholders
  • Strong initiative and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of an organization

Bonus Points:

  • Scrum or Agile certifications in a product management area
  •  Experience in telecom services and associated technologies are helpful for success in this role

  • Ability to create wireframes and/or working prototypes. Ability to produce clear and concise presentations.
