Essential Job Duties
What You'll Do
As the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at BambooHR, you'll be at the heart of our communications strategy. You'll take the lead in managing our internal and external communications strategies, playing a key role in boosting our brand and thought leadership - especially for our executive team. You'll collaborate with talented teams, inspiring them to create impactful communications that enhance our brand awareness and engagement.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead and mentor a small team of communications professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to our executive leadership team, offering guidance on messaging, positioning, and media engagement.
- Take the lead in shaping and executing BambooHR’s corporate communication strategy.
- Create a cohesive vision and strategy for executive thought leadership platforms, with the goal of showcasing BambooHR’s leaders as industry trailblazers across various channels.
- Oversee both owned and earned media channels (including our popular HR Unplugged podcast) driving content strategy, engagement, and growth.
- Partner to launch and manage our upcoming news site, guiding its content development and editorial strategy.
- Create top-notch content, from executive keynotes and speeches to scripts, press releases, and social media posts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our communications strategies align with business goals and the latest HR industry trends.
- Lend your support to crisis communications and change management whenever needed.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Communications Experience: You have 10-15 years of relevant experience in the communications field (preferably including internal and external audiences in both agency and in-house settings).
- Leadership Skills: You’re a strong and empowering leader, with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team.
- Writing Background: You have extensive writing experience with a portfolio that showcases a variety of content formats, including executive speeches and keynotes.
- Executive Presence: You have an ability to build relationships of trust across all levels of an organization, including with executive leaders.
- Thought Leadership: You have experience building and managing executive thought leadership platforms.
- Current Event Awareness: You have the ability to capitalize on current events and trends to enhance communication strategies.
- Adaptability: You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Location: You are located in Utah with an ability to work hybrid from our Draper, UT office.
