Essential Job Duties

At BambooHR, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional software experience that helps our clients manage their most valuable resource: their people. The Professional Services Accounting Specialist is essential for ensuring creation of custom reports for customer's accounting purposes and working to build file feeds that will meet vendor specifications. In this role, you will support extended re-implementation projects, conduct data imports, and facilitate total rewards data migration with a keen attention to detail. In addition, this role will be responsible for coordinating training sessions for clients on system usage and best practices, documenting processes for future reference, and maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy and security.
Now, in the day-to-day work of a Professional Services Accounting Analyst, you will:
- Work with customers and programmers to generate custom GL reports
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the customer journey
- Coordinate and conduct training for clients on system usage and best practices
- Maintain custom reports following creation for customers
- Execute and manage Workers Comp, and 401K Bridge reports
- Assist with data, troubleshooting, and inquiries
- Document and share appropriate information for customer escalations to manager
- Manage account merges and/or splits efficiently and accurately
- Restore deleted files and ensure data integrity is maintained.
- Handle exports of data as needed by clients or internal teams
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
- Document processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- 2-3 years of experience in a GL, AR, AP, and Accounting
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations
- Able to collaborate across multiple teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using payroll software and HR information systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in training and presenting information to diverse audiences
- Self-starter and can handle multiple projects at once
