As the Senior Director, Sales Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our sales development team. You will lead a high-performing organization focused on generating and nurturing leads, optimizing the sales funnel, and ensuring that our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) are aligned with the company’s revenue goals. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our lead generation processes, collaborating closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to maximize pipeline progression. Your leadership will be critical in scaling the team, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. You will report directly to the CRO, ensuring alignment with the broader go-to-market strategy and delivering consistent, measurable results.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute the growth strategy for our SDR organization, expanding our team and product portfolio.
  • Vision & Evangelism: Champion BambooHR's vision, products, and services, driving revenue growth with a customer-centric approach.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with global GMs, Field Sales leaders, and Marketing to optimize team productivity and pipeline progression.
  • Ownership: Take full ownership of your segment, creating and refining strategic plans with key partners in the go-to-market motion.
  • Team Development: Lead, develop, and manage Sales Managers and their Account Executive teams in the SMB market, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with Finance and Rev-Ops to design and implement sales forecasting and plans that meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Headcount Management: Build and scale a stellar sales team, working with HR to plan for future needs.
  • Sales Champion: Support team members with larger deals, providing a second voice to help close key opportunities.
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Mentor Sales Managers, empowering them to become better leaders and replicating successful behaviors across the team.
  • Cultural Stewardship: Own the culture within your team, building strong relationships and fostering high morale.
  • Performance Management: Manage attrition, address HR escalations, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Innovation: Lead the creation of sales collateral and drive the evolution of our sales approach.

What We'll Love About You:

  • Experience managing sales development leadership as a second line leader in the SaaS (software as a service) industry
  • Extensive experience in global markets, with a deep understanding of regional differences in sales practices and customer behaviors.

  • Demonstrated success in building and motivating sales teams, driving pipeline growth, and achieving revenue targets in a fast-paced environment.
