About Us

Our mission is simple: we want to set people free to do meaningful work. People love our software—and it turns out that people love working here too. We've been recognized as a "Best Company to Work For” and we're proud of our team for creating software that makes an impact in the lives of HR pros and employees all over the world.

Essential Job Duties

As a Sales Operations Manager at BambooHR, you'll ensure our sales teams are equipped and empowered to drive maximal revenue and profitable sales. Functioning as a trusted operational partner to assigned selling teams (i.e. International, Expansion, Partner, inbound “Flow”, or high-funnel “Create” sales and sales development teams), you’ll focus on maximizing sales efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll do this through providing strategic consultation, project management, and tactical support.

At a glance, as a Sales Ops Manager you'll be driving multiple strategic initiatives, interfacing across departments with various GTM leaders, while also helping to support the tactical needs of the sales business. You'll be an individual contributor who works well independently, as well as on a team.

A little context about our Sales Ops team: We have a centralized Business Operations team here at BambooHR, which means our Sales Operations Managers report to Operational leadership rather than to Sales leadership. This gives our Sales Ops professionals even more room to function as strategic partners to our selling team stakeholders, making a huge impact!

Now onto the specifics! In your day to day work, you will:

  • Work within our established Sales Operations team, as an individual contributor, to achieve optimal results.
  • Partner with assigned selling teams and sales management (in an individual contributor capacity) to recommend, prioritize, and manage strategic revenue-enabling initiatives.
  • Diagnose root causes of sales system inefficiencies and ineffectiveness, and then scope and deliver solutions that enable greater sales team success.
  • Drive projects to completion within a framework that ensures quality and adoption.
  • Simplify processes through automation and implementation of new process steps and tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (with teams such as Salesforce Admins, Finance, Marketing Operations, Project Management Office, etc.) to create a comprehensive, best-in-class operations environment.
  • Be the front-line support to selling teams by responding to various sales support tickets and requests (e.g., systems troubleshooting, report creation, deal arbitration, sales administration tasks, etc.)
  • Manage sales tech stack - including implementation, support, optimization, evaluation, and vendor relationships.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

This is a mid-level individual contributor role on our BizOps team. Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this position:

  • Sales Operations Experience: You have 2-4 years of direct experience in Sales Operations (SaaS environment preferred).
  • Sales Knowledge: You’ve developed a strong understanding of sales processes, revenue funnels, and customer lifecycles.
  • Salesforce Skills: You have prior experience working within Salesforce CRM.
  • Diagnostic Thinking: You dig deep and identify root causes instead of jumping to obvious conclusions or just treating symptoms.
  • Affinity for Data: Your natural inclination is to seek out data to inform your decisions, rather than going with your gut.
  • Influence Skills: You’re able to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to others and motivate change, without direct authority.
  • Problem Solving Approach: You’re able to not only identify problems and issues, but also conceive and propose a number of potential solutions.
  • Project Management: You’ve developed strong project management skills and can see complex initiatives through from start to finish. (And you also ruthlessly prioritize when balancing multiple projects! )
  • Operational Passion: You love finding inefficiencies and coming up with innovative solutions that sometimes challenge the status quo - it fuels you!
  • Education: You’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree (or have equivalent experience).

What Will Make Us REALLY Love You

  • SaaS Exposure: You have strong experience in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
  • Certifications: You’ve earned certifications in project management, Salesforce,  Salesloft, Chili Piper, LeanData, Chorus, or Six Sigma (or maybe even have an MBA!).
  • Business Acumen: You think like a business person first, understanding the role of Sales Ops within the broader business context.
  • Results Orientation: You recognize that your day-to-day work is just a means to an end and that the real objective is results.
  • Flexible Tenacity: You don’t give up at the first sign of trouble and keep pushing, even if it means taking a different approach.
  • Systems Theory Approach: You’re able to recognize the interconnected nature or series of inputs and outputs that produce results.
  • Process Engineering: You can design and improve scalable and repeatable ways of doing things.
  • Organizational Dynamics Perspective: You’re often thinking about how groups of people adopt new behaviors, make decisions, etc. and love to understand human/group behavior.

What You’ll Love About Us

  • Great Company Culture. We’ve been recognized by multiple organizations like Inc, Salt Lake Tribune, Glassdoor,  & Comparably for our great workplace culture.

  • Rest and Relaxation. 4 weeks paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and we pay you to go on vacation (ask us about this)!
  • Health Benefits. Medical with HSA and FSA options, dental, and vision.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
