VP of Marketing 

Baker is looking for a VP of Marketing to lead the planning, development and execution of our marketing strategy. We’re looking for a self-motivated and metrics-driven leader experienced in generating demand in a sales-driven, B2B software company. You will responsible for developing our programs and systems to support the strategic direction of Baker’s platform as well as generating the level of awareness and engagement required to meet our growth and revenue objectives. We need a leader who has the courage to lead strategically, with the humility to know when to roll up their sleeves and execute tactically. We will look to you and your sense of creative entrepreneurialism to mentor our current team members to continuously improve the health of our marketing program and lead generation efforts.

 

The Team

  • You will lead and manage a small but growing team of two marketers.  You will oversee product marketing, content marketing, demand generation, graphic design, and marketing events. We will look to you to define and propose the marketing organizational structure. You should be highly comfortable devising strategy, setting metrics-driven objectives, delegating work, and rallying your team to achieve their OKRs (e., we’re looking for a leader).

 

You Will

  • Lead our marketing team, creating and executing a cohesive program strategy with tangible goals and performance metrics as well as collaboratively partnering with sales to generate, qualify, and prioritize leads
  • Embracing an account-based marketing approach, activate territories and drive pipeline for our sales team as well as drive engagement within our current strategic accounts; direct production of sales collateral to enable enterprise-level deals
  • Strategically oversee HubSpot and its synchronization with other integrated systems, including Salesforce, for lead, campaign, and program tracking and analysis
  • Own core marketing success metrics, creating and iterating on our metrics modeling and providing regular reporting and recommendations to our executive leadership team
  • Manage the ongoing brand transformation process; develop a strategic approach to social marketing which capitalizes on our brand and image
  • Translate your strategic marketing plan into actionable quarterly targets and initiatives
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales to define key value proposition for our suite of products
  • Serve as a key contact and champion for our customer, developing a deep understanding of their needs and challenges, and representing their voice in everything that we do
  • Define public relations practices and activities consistent with branding and image standard, ensuring appropriate coverage and awareness as business and budget determine
  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth
  • Oversee our digital presence, ensuring our strategy is current, relevant, and high-performing
  • Manage the development and implementation of the co-marketing portion of our referral partner program
  • Manage the execution of trade shows
  • Plan, organize, train and manage all marketing, business development and sales enablement functions to contribute to the achievement of corporate revenue and growth objectives

 

You Offer

  • 8+ years of experience owning and leading revenue-building marketing programs for a B2B tech, SaaS or enterprise software business
  • Knowledgeable of and experienced in partnering with sales and possesses a demonstrated track record of developing and executing marketing strategies to consistently achieve corporate objectives
  • Experience managing a budget and leading and scaling marketing teams to need
  • Courage to lead strategically, yet the humility to know when to roll up your sleeves and operate tactically
  • Highly analytical, with ability to translate your marketing expertise and our sales objectives to concrete business recommendations and creative program solutions that generate leads and build revenue
  • Poised and competent at communicating with senior business executives regarding strategy, analytics and ROI
  • Confident and experienced in managing and negotiating with agency partners and vendors
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to industry events and customer sites as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field

  • MBA preferred
  • Prior experience in the enterprise software industry
