The Role

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill a mid to senior level quality assurance position. You will be responsible for testing new product features before release to the public. You will be expected to run through pre-scripted user stories, and log successes and failures of the product functionality. You will be working with our product team to ensure that all development work is accompanied by a testing plan before being released to production.  In addition, we are looking for individuals to assist with bug triaging process and act as a liaison with Support on technical support requests.

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive test plans to ensure sound quality testing

  • Manually test the functionality of Baker products and features

  • Dynamically adapt test approaches to the context of each project

  • Perform exploratory testing

  • Develop and execute test cases and document results

  • Log clear, reproducible bug reports

  • Work with product and dev to ensure timely testing coverage according to project schedules

Role Requirements

  • Experience in a product-related, software development-related, or QA role

  • A curious and skeptical tester’s mindset

  • Methodical and meticulous nature

  • Software testing experience on web/mobile applications and/or APIs

  • Ability to follow direction, take ownership of assignments, and work well with others

  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people at various levels

  • Ability to operate in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple activities and projects at the same time

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in startup environments

  • Experience with automation tools and process

  • Experience in establishing and growing a team in a previous role

  • Past experience in cannabis industry, i.e. technology, agriculture, infrastructure, retail, etc
