We are searching for a skilled IT Tech Specialist to join Backlight in our dynamic IT team in the UK. In this role, you will become a trusted advisor and technical problem-solver, ensuring optimal IT system uptime and user productivity through exceptional support, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous learning.

About the Role:
- Act as a trusted advisor, building relationships with users and going beyond basic troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using your advanced problem-solving skills.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues to prevent disruptions and optimize system performance.
- Maintain system reliability and minimize downtime to ensure optimal uptime.
- Provide top-notch user support by delivering clear and concise solutions to user inquiries through phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Engineering, Infrastructure, Security) to resolve complex problems.
- Foster a positive user experience through exceptional support and a strong customer service focus.
- Participate in security and compliance audits, both proactively and during active audits.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company software, hardware, and network configurations.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and escalations for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement and development of internal IT documentation and knowledge base.

Tech Stack:
- Google Workspace
- Okta
- Asset Management and ITSM tools
- MacOS and Windows operating systems
- Scripting languages (Bash, Powershell) (a plus)

Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in IT Helpdesk Support or a related role.
- Proficiency in the listed Tech Stack.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- You have the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise way.
- A commitment to continuous learning.
