As the Order Management Specialist, you will work closely with our Inventory Planning team to place and confirm our Babylist store purchase orders with vendor partners. You can think strategically on a process level and also execute in the details, as you play a pivotal role in ensuring on-time delivery of our highly curated assortment of baby apparel and gear. You are an analytical thinker who is passionate and excited about joining a fast-growing, successful eCommerce business.

What You'll Do

  • Input purchase orders, submit and confirm order quantities, and coordinate ship dates with vendors. Proactively address, resolve, and/or escalate any operational issues affecting the on-time purchasing of products
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure prompt deliveries and appropriate inbound flow planning
  • Track any out-of-stock or discontinued items with vendors and communicate to internal stakeholders
  • Identify any costing discrepancies and alert the appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Manage and reply to a large volume of email communication from multiple vendors and internal stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Work with our Inventory Planners to generate weekly reporting and track daily performance against plans
  • Act as a liaison to our Customer Service team on stock availability

Who You Are

  • You have a solid knowledge of Excel and can manipulate and analyze data to come up with actionable insights
  • You are familiar with inventory planning concepts, retail math, and best practices
  • You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities; you are able to find efficiencies and improvements to make existing processes more successful
  • You have strong communication skills and can work effectively with both external partners and the Inventory Planning and Operations teams
  • You possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
  • You have a passion for start-ups and eCommerce; you can be scrappy and are comfortable wearing many hats

What You've Done

  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an order management or inventory planning role
  • You have a four-year college degree or equivalent
