Position Overview:
Axon is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Specialist to drive our brand’s presence and engagement across a range of industry events, including regional tradeshows, product showcases, large-scale conferences and internal events. This role will involve managing and executing multiple events, with a strong focus on aligning event strategies with sales and marketing objectives and demonstrating measurable ROI for each activation. As an Event Specialist, you will work closely with the Manager of Events (EMEA) and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and optimize Axon’s event activations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You’ll be responsible for full event lifecycle management, including pre-event logistics, budget oversight, staffing coordination, vendor management, on-site support, and post-event analysis. You’ll also play a key role in implementing scalable sales and marketing initiatives, tracking engagement and audience feedback, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Execution: Directly coordinate a wide range of events annually, including tradeshow activations, experiential product showcases, and conferences, while ensuring goals and audience expectations are consistently exceeded and the Axon brand is effectively represented.
- Collaboration: Support the Manager of Events with planning, management and execution of Tier 1 tradeshow activations throughout the year and special projects
- Implementation and Tracking of Marketing Initiatives: Operate with a dedicated focus on implementation of sales/marketing initiatives, scalable activations based on market/product and ROI. Track ROI, engagement, and audience feedback to measure results, assess opportunities for improvement, and optimize future events.
- Event Lifecycle Management: Coordination of the entire lifecycle of events, including pre-event planning, budget management, staffing, product requests, logistics, successful event execution, and post-event reporting
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate directly and frequently with sales and marketing teams to set goals, activate plans, and achieve outcomes, while also working closely with the creative team for graphics, product marketing for content alignment, and marketing operations for seamless execution.
- Vendor Management: Review, manage and negotiate contracts with event vendors; leverage cost savings when applicable (production, logistics, transportation, A/V, special supplies/materials)
- Additional Events Department Projects: On-site support for designated event activations to ensure successful execution. Support other special projects within Events department as needed.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of project management, experiential marketing and/or event experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Professional working proficiency in both written and spoken communication in at least one of the following languages: Spanish, French, or Italian
- Resourceful, detail-oriented and quick-thinking problem solver with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking, re-prioritizing projects, and communicating priority updates to stakeholders
- Excellent organization and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to drive outcomes
- A well-developed “team oriented” business perspective, bringing a positive attitude to the team and job each day
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve results
- Experience managing a budget, product inventory and multiple projects at once
- Enthusiasm and commitment to Axon's Mission and Core Values
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and/or project management software (preferred)
- Tech industry experience preferred
- Ability to stand for upwards of 8 hours a day; as well as lift, carry, move packages and materials up-to-50 lbs on a regular basis; with or without special accommodations, is required
- Moderate travel and extended work hours may be required; anticipated (30% of travel)
