The Team

Sky-Hero is a new, specialized line within Axon, focused on revolutionizing tactical operations with advanced robotics designed specifically for the needs of law enforcement and military agencies. The Sky-Hero mission is to deliver resilient, data-secure tactical robotics that elevate the effectiveness and safety of special operations teams.

Your Impact

As a Solutions Sales Specialist focused on Sky-Hero products, you will be responsible for promoting and selling these innovative tactical robotics to state and local law enforcement agencies. Your role will be essential in converting interest into purchase, ensuring that potential customers understand how Sky-Hero products can meet their operational needs in a meaningful, impactful way.

What You’ll Do

Location: US Remote

Territory: Western or Eastern US Region. Must live within 1 hour of a major airport & requires a heavy travel commitment (60-70%+)
Reports to: Vice President, Training & Tactical Ecosystems

  • You will develop an in-depth understanding of Sky-Hero’s tactical robotics to effectively engage and convert prospective state and local law enforcement and military customers into purchasing clients.
  • You will act as a key resource within the Axon sales team, providing expertise on Sky-Hero products and ensuring the broader team has the insights needed to position these solutions effectively.
  • You are customer-centric, dedicated to understanding each customer’s operational challenges and workflows, building a strong contact network within each account, and fostering relationships that drive satisfaction and trust.
  • You are comfortable showcasing the capabilities of Sky-Hero products through hands-on demonstrations, ensuring that prospects can see how these tools can address their unique tactical needs.
  • You are passionate about the role of tactical robotics in advancing public safety, committed to showing how Sky-Hero can support law enforcement and special forces operations missions.
  • You will manage your sales pipeline from lead generation through to deal closure, using our CRM to keep account statuses up-to-date and maintain a reliable forecast for leadership.
  • You will collaborate with the marketing, training, and support teams to align on sales messaging, customer education, and product support strategies.
  • You’ll gather and share feedback from the field with product development, helping to shape future improvements to meet evolving customer needs.
  • You’ll meet or exceed your sales targets by guiding prospective customers from first contact to final purchase, focusing on multi-unit deals where possible.
  • You are committed to building your expertise, staying current on Sky-Hero’s technical specs and market trends to provide customers with the most accurate, relevant information.

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in a tactical operations environment, either in military or law enforcement.
  • At least 5 years of experience in solution-oriented sales, with a background in negotiating and closing complex, strategic, multi-year agreements; experience selling to law enforcement, military, or IT departments is a plus.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences, including police and military personnel, adapting communication to their specific operational needs.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a proven capability to establish and document an efficient commercial sales flow from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Genuine interest in public safety and high-tech solutions, with a passion for advancing the use of tactical robotics in the field.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and customer-centric, with a demonstrated eagerness to learn and readiness to adapt to customer needs independently.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to precision, holding customer satisfaction and service as top priorities in all commercial tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing tight deadlines and adapting to evolving project requirements with agility.
  • Proactive thinker, open to constructive dialogue with project stakeholders and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Comfortable stepping outside the comfort zone and demonstrates readiness to learn new technologies in the tactical robotics space.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Proficient in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license for necessary travel to client sites and product demonstrations
