What You’ll Do

Reports to: Sr. Director, Business Systems 

  • Solution Architecture: Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions within the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) platform, focusing on supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics. Conduct fit/gap analyses to identify areas for customization and develop detailed design specifications when necessary. Strive to implement standard processes while minimizing customizations. Your expertise will be key in designing integrations with other operational systems, ensuring alignment with Axon’s business objectives and industry best practices. 
  • Business Process Optimization: Collaborate with stakeholders in supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics to assess, refine, and automate key operational processes, such as inventory management, production control, procurement, and warehouse management. Balance the need for automated solutions with the practicality of manual processes, recommending the best approach based on business needs. Recommend solutions that optimize efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring alignment with Axon’s operational objectives. Use your expertise to determine when customized solutions are needed and when standard processes can be leveraged. 
  • Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of operations-related projects within D365 FO, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to deployment and post-implementation support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet business expectations. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with solution architects, business analysts, operations teams, developers, and other cross-functional partners to design and deliver effective operational solutions. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to Axon’s operations leadership team. Provide insights into system capabilities, recommend enhancements, and keep stakeholders informed on emerging trends in the ERP space. Ensure that operational needs align with the capabilities of D365 FO. 
  • Planning and Supply chain Management (MRP): Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure the system supports accurate production planning, demand forecasting, warehouse management, and transportation logistics. Assist in developing and improving operational reports, dashboards, and data management processes, ensuring that decision-makers have access to actionable, reliable data. 
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide training and documentation to operations teams and end-users to maximize the use of D365 FO. Mentor and guide the functional analysis team, helping them navigate complex scenarios and build their expertise. 
  • Leadership: Serve as the point of contact for all D365 FO operations-related matters. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead operational activities related to mergers and acquisitions. Strong communication and managing stakeholder expectations will be essential for keeping teams aligned and maintaining project momentum. 
  • Continued Education: Stay informed of the latest D365 FO features and solutions from Microsoft. Evaluate their potential impact on Axon’s future initiatives and ensure continuous alignment with evolving industry standards and best practices. 

What You Bring 

  • D365 FO Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with a proven record of designing and implementing solutions in the areas of supply chain management, manufacturing, and logistics. You should be confident in leading solution designs and optimizing operational processes within D365 FO. 
  • Operations & Supply Chain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of operational processes, including production control, inventory management, warehouse management, procurement, and logistics. Experience with intercompany trade, product lifecycle management, demand forecasting, and material planning within D365 FO. 
  • Advanced Reporting: Experience designing and implementing reporting solutions that support operational reporting needs. Familiarity with D365 electronic reporting, SSRS, SQL, Power BI, or other relevant tools. 
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, from requirements gathering to execution. Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and/or Scaled Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps, Jira and SharePoint is a plus. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to solve complex business challenges. You should have a talent for identifying inefficiencies in operational processes and designing solutions that streamline workflows and enhance outcomes. 
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. You should be comfortable working with senior operations leadership, as well as stakeholders, developers, and analysts to ensure clear understanding of requirements and deliverables. 
  • System Integration Experience: Familiarity with integrating D365 FO with other enterprise applications, ERP systems, and legacy platforms. You should understand how to create seamless workflows across multiple business areas and systems.

  • Finance & Accounting Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and related Dynamics 365 Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets. Experience creating and implementing legal entities, establishing intercompany trade, managing financial consolidations, currency revaluation, and defining financial dimensions and account structure configuration. Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and revenue recognition.  
  • Advanced Reporting: Experience designing and implementing electronic reporting solutions that support advanced reporting structures and building reports in Management Reporter. 
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, from requirements gathering to execution. Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment. The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 121,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 192,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
