Position Title: Industrial Controls Engineer. Level 3

 

Position Description:

The Industrial Controls Engineer Level 3 will work with a group of Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and shop personnel to design, implement and document control systems for various types of automation and robotic equipment. You will be deeply involved with electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, PLC programming, machine power-up, debug, power-up and validation / buyoff.

 Duties include the following:

  • Design, implement, and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.
  • Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams.
  • Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or Axis Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approaches.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years related experience/training and/or Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year College/University in related engineering field.
  • Willing to travel an average of 25%; domestic and international travel.
  • 2+ years experience with PLC's, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision Systems 
  • 2+ years of experience working with AutoCAD Electrical (or similar software) to design electrical layouts.

 

Salary: $80,000-$95,000

Additional Compensation: Overtime pay, travel pay, year-end bonus, employee referral bonus, customer referral bonus
