Why it matters: The Senior Associate, Growth (Lifecycle Marketing), will assist with our subscriber retention initiatives, focusing on customer journey and retention marketing campaigns. From onboarding new subscribers to engaging them throughout their lifecycle, this role will help develop and execute a best-in-class CRM program to keep our subscribers happy.

Go deeper: As part of the Growth team at Axios, you’ll be working closely with other marketers who are responsible for acquisition and retention of our subscribers. Your responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing and executing subscriber retention and CRM programs
  • Implementing email marketing and lifecycle campaigns, such as welcome series, win-back, cross promotions, and other subscriber engagement initiatives
  • Developing messages and creatives for email marketing and other channels to drive subscriber retention
  • Running A/B tests to optimize retention marketing campaigns
  • Manage programs & initiatives for a growing referral program
  • Reporting campaign progress, presenting data-driven insights and recommending next steps to optimize the lifecycle marketing program
  • Collaborating with the rest of the Growth team, plus Editorial, Product, Technology, Analytics, Design and Audience Development teams on subscriber retention initiatives

Details:

  • Experience in retention marketing and/or lifecycle marketing/CRM (1 to 3 years)
  • Hands on experience with an ESP
  • Experience working in media, a subscription business, or DTC marketing a plus
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Enthusiasm for testing and experimenting with new ideas/strategies
  • Love data, strong analytical skills and experience working with customer data
  • Excellent communicator with strong project management skills
  • Independent and creative thinker, like to take initiatives to make things happen
  • Passionate in providing the best customer experience for a subscription product
