Why it Matters: The Axios News Apprenticeship is an 18-month long program providing aspiring young journalists with real-world experience learning, reporting, and editing on a breaking news desk. Each cohort will learn how to deliver content worthy of people’s time and attention in our signature Smart Brevity style. Each apprenticeship cohort will undergo a rigorous training program where they will learn how to work on the Axios news desk.
Go Deeper: Pending a successful completion of the program, the apprentice will be considered for opportunities to stay on at Axios full-time as an Associate Editor, News. Hiring is wholly dependent on performance throughout the program and Axios’ business needs. Should the apprentice exhibit exemplary performance and Axios has the business need to hire them, they will be hired as an Associate Editor, News.
