Purpose of Position

Awin is a leading affiliate marketing platform, connecting partners in over 180 countries to drive e-commerce growth. As we continue to expand, translation and localization are integral to ensuring that Awin’s platform and content resonate with local markets, comply with regional standards, and deliver seamless user experiences globally. The Translation Manager will play a crucial role in supporting Awin's global presence by overseeing and coordinating the translation and localization of our platform, content, and product materials.


Key Tasks

  • Coordinate Translation Projects: Assist in managing translation projects, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery. Work with translation vendors, freelancers, and internal teams to meet content needs.

  • Content Quality Support: Conduct basic quality assurance checks on translated materials to ensure consistency with Awin’s terminology and style guidelines.

  • Glossary & Style Guide Maintenance: Create glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases to maintain accuracy and consistency across translations.

  • Vendor Communication: Help liaise with external vendors, providing guidelines and feedback on translation quality and project requirements.

  • Translation Process Improvement: Gather feedback from stakeholders and suggest improvements to streamline translation workflows.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of translation projects, track key performance metrics, and assist in generating regular reports on translation quality and turnaround times.


Skills &
Expertise
 

  • Translation Knowledge: Foundational understanding of translation and localization processes; familiarity with translation software (e.g., Lokalise, Smartling, or MemoQ) is a plus.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Process Oriented: Skilled in proactively optimizing workflows, prioritizing effectively under tight deadlines, and designing processes that ensure efficiency and consistently high-quality outcomes.

  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, with an eye for spotting inconsistencies or errors in translations.

  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors.

  • Linguistic Expertise and Multilingual Proficiency: Demonstrates exceptional linguistic skills with a strong grasp of language nuances, grammar, and cultural contexts. Speaks multiple languages or possesses an innate sensitivity and adaptability to diverse linguistic structures, enabling effective communication and precise translation management.

  • Tech-Friendly: Comfortable working with content management systems (CMS), the tooling used in the translation process (e.g. Lokalise, GitHub) and work management systems (Asana, Jira).

  • Proactive Learner: Eager to learn about translation best practices and the affiliate marketing industry.
