Away is seeking a Digital Designer to join our growing team. We are a global lifestyle brand that is on a mission to create thoughtful products designed to make travel more seamless. In support of our mission, we’re looking for a creative and marketing-minded digital designer to help tell our brand story online. You would help the team establish and deliver a delightful and consistent digital experience for our customers. You’d be a key part of bringing an ownable brand presence to life in a team of passionate creatives changing the way we travel.

This position will report directly to our Director, UX & Visual Design and work from our headquarters in SoHo, NYC.

What You'll Do:

  • Design exquisite, engaging and effective web experiences for seasonal campaigns and product launches.
  • Push the boundaries of our email designs and continue to iterate on our strategic and thoughtful email programs.
  • Elevate our brand by creating and maintaining a high bar of visual excellence across all digital touchpoints.
  • Establish a scalable design system for all our marketing, triggered, transactional, and editorial emails.
  • Work closely with the full Creative, Digital, and Retention team to deliver on business and creative goals through thoughtful design decisions.
  • Glean insights from research and analytics to form new design solutions from your findings.
  • Present digital projects to key stakeholders outside the Creative team.
  • Review final work with an exacting eye to ensure delivered files are to spec.
  • Day-to-day projects like sitemaps, wireframes, low-fi mockups, production-ready comps, marketing assets, and design specs.

Who You Are:

  • 2-5 years of designing e-commerce experiences, ideally for startups or agencies.
  • The energy and drive to deliver the best design in the industry and the ability to manage multiple projects in tandem.
  • A willingness to push the boundaries. We’re not interested in the status quo.
  • A portfolio of digital projects that have elevated a brand’s digital experience
  • Competence in Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin, and InVision. Bonus points for animation and HTML & CSS chops.
  • Hard working with a "no task is too small" attitude.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Passionate about travel (but that’s a given!)
