Job Overview

As the Salesforce Technical Team Lead, you will be the technical owner of our Salesforce instances and leader for our Salesforce administrators and developers working to deliver strategic initiatives to enable the business to meet their goals.

What you’ll do:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and security guidelines.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Salesforce development

team.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead end-to-end Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives, leveraging declarative features, custom development, and third-party integrations.
  • Design data models, security models, and application architecture within the
  • Salesforce platform.
  • Drive the technical resolution of critical incidents and problems as part of the incident and problem management process.
  • Ensure technical debt, maintenance, monitoring, and alerting is effectively managed. o Continuously improve salesforce DevOps practices on the team.

Development and Customization:

  • Develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies. o Customize Salesforce applications using declarative tools such as Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.
  • Salesforce Administration: Oversee Salesforce configuration, including flows, lightning migration, security settings, and data management.
  • Perform Salesforce platform upgrades, patches, and releases in collaboration with system administrators.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business operations, project stakeholders, Projects Owners / Managers to ensure successful project delivery. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide timely updates on project status, issues, and risks to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide vendor performance feedback to the Manager of Business Application Development for staff augmentation resources.

Best Practices and Standards:

  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and best practices. Champion Salesforce develops best practices, coding standards, and governance processes within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements within Salesforce solutions

What we're looking for: 

  • Experience integrating salesforce instances from acquisitions
  • Strong Understanding when to use declarative vs. programmatic methods;
  • Hands on experience with developing complex apex classes and triggers
  • Knowing when to use the Lightning Process Builder vs. an Apex trigger;
  • Ability to understand and develop business processes and how processes are supported by system components;
  • Experience with Model View Controller (MVC) architecture and component-based architecture;
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams requiring coordination across multiple internal groups.
  • Required Certifications: Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Platform Developer
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development work
  • 1+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience debugging issues in a sandbox and in production;
  • Experience with SOQL and databases;
  • Experience with integrations such as callouts, APIs, and email services;
  • Experience building highly scalable, highly performant microservices and REST APIs
  • Experience with database systems and data storage technologies.
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming, multi-threading, and caching
  • Good to have Certifications: Salesforce Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, Application Architect or System Architect
