Who you are

We are looking for an organized and driven senior accountant to join our rapidly growing team.

You will work closely with management and operations personnel and supervise day-to-day bookkeeping to ensure completeness and accuracy. You will also interact with our outside HR and CPA firms to keep track of payroll-related matters and produce audited financial statements.

We are an energetic company and are looking for a meticulous and conscientious professional to grow with us and safeguard the integrity of our financials.


Responsibilities and duties:

  • Establish and maintain a Chart of Accounts
  • Supervise A/P, A/R, general ledger, etc. timely and accurately
  • Record all financial transactions, research and resolve discrepancies
  • Follow up with vendors regarding invoice issues, customers with payments, and employees regarding expense reimbursements
  • Maintain accuracy of check runs, bank transfers and wire transactions
  • Record fixed assets additions and deletions, calculate depreciation and maintain fixed assets
  • Prepare and record journal entries for month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities
  • Generate financial statements periodically and on demand
  • Coordinate with outside HR firm to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze and report on financial status, communicate financial results to management
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and their analysis periodically and on demand
  • Improve accounting systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Oversee taxes and abide by federal and state tax laws, under the guidance of tax consultants
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and GAAP
  • Provide support to internal departments and external customers
  • Prepare presentations on financial matters for management and third parties
  • Perform other ad hoc projects or work as required


Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
  • 5+ years full-cycle accounting experience, preferable at a tech startup
  • Advanced skills in accounting software, databases, MS Office, and Google Drive
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural work environment
  • Well-organized, analytical, able to multi-task projects efficiently and prioritize responsibilities
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Fluency in Mandarin a strong plus
