We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Product Manager for Data (m/f/d) to join our team. As PM for Data you will play a crucial role in developing and managing our data products that directly serve the business's needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving business growth through data-driven initiatives. This role requires technical expertise, product management skills, and strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Your role: 

  • Data Product Development: Lead the development and management of data products, including analytics dashboards, machine learning models, and data-driven applications, to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Requirements Definition: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison between data teams and other stakeholders, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure that data products meet the needs of the business.
  • Project Management: Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Data Utilization: Drive data utilization across the organization, providing insights and recommendations to optimize existing processes, identify new revenue opportunities, and support business growth.
  • Technical Program Management: Implement effective program management practices, including risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination, to ensure successful execution of data initiatives.
  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data products and initiatives, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.
  • SQL Proficiency: Utilize SQL for data querying and analysis, extracting insights from databases to inform decision-making and product development efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with data engineers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure the successful delivery of data products.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data management and product development, continually seeking opportunities to enhance our data capabilities and processes.

 What you should bring: 

  • Proven experience (>4 years) in product management, with a focus on data products and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, including data pipelines, warehouses, and processing technologies.
  • Experience with technical program management practices, including risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis, with the ability to extract insights from databases to inform decision-making.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices for ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of delivering successful data products.
  • Customer and value focus. The ability to think, plan and act strategically.
