About the role:
We're on the lookout for a passionate and strategic Director of Business Insights to lead our business insights and shape our analytical vision within financial, commercial and operational performance. In this role, you'll be a vital part to execute our data strategy, making sure we use data in a consistent way to guide business decisions, improve customer experiences, and drive growth.
As our new Director of Business Insights, you’ll report directly to our CFO, making you an essential pillar of our success. Your expertise will be pivotal in propelling AutoProff towards continuous growth and development.

Your areas of responsibility will cover the following areas:
- Define, develop and own AutoProff Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and standardized analyses that facilitate informed decision-making across core business functions, including Operations and Finance.
- Be a crucial part of defining and implementing the AutoProff Business insights roadmap focused on enhancing business performance, commercial performance, and understanding and analyzing operational performance.
- Provide insights to guide and drive commercial decisions and optimization in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Democratize data across the organization through purpose build tools including the possibilities within providing data through custom AI chatbots and AI solutions for improved data accessibility.
- Serve as a key member of the AutoProff Data Governance Council, collaborating to co-own the data strategy alongside the Product and Technology teams.
- Ensure KPIs are being defined according to business standards and used in a consistent way across AutoProff.
- Prepare reporting towards AutoProff board, executive management and commercial leadership team.
- Support the transition to a new BI tool together with the technical leads.
- Actively participates in our Data Analytics Guild, fostering collaboration and contributing to the collective expertise and growth of our data analytics community.
- Manage and develop a small team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
The need-to-have skills:
- Educational background could be a master's degree within relevant field, but most important is a proven track record of supporting business growth through analytics and insights.
- Good stakeholder Management skills and capable of understanding both technical and business needs.
- Managerial skills or interest in becoming an excellent people manager.
- Ability to convert business needs into value creating insights for the business on operational, tactical and strategic level.
- Ability to create transparency of development pipeline and drive prioritization.
- Comfortable writing SQL scripts (e.g. within Athena, Presto or similar tools), to extract the data that is required for reporting.
