What You'll Do
The Accountant will join the European finance function of Authentic Brands Group. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will support the FM in all day-to-day financial functions relating to the Authentic licensing business across its portfolio of Entertainment and Lifestyle brands. Responsibilities will include accounts payables, revenue recognition, month end close and assisting with audit and statutory accounts. This individual will thrive working in a fast-paced environment and adapt to company needs.

What You'll Be Working On
- Revenue accounting for various revenue streams across different brands
- Responsible for certain month end close activities, ensuring that the relevant deadlines are met.
- Support with AP processes – invoice processing, cash posting and reconciliation
- Preparation of balance sheet and ledger reconciliations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure information is accurately reflected
- VAT reporting
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting ledgers
- Support with both statutory and group audits.
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts for UK subsidiaries
- Correspond with HMRC
- Liaise with external providers for tax and compliance matters
- Ad-hoc projects
Skills and Experience sought:
- Part - qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous experience of month end financial reporting preferrable
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping
- Strong communication skills to both financial and non-financial teams
- Highly organised
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Previous experience of NetSuite is desirable
- Excellent IT skills, especially Excel
