What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic LA-based PR Director to join our growing team. The Director will collaborate with an expert team and a global network of brand partners to maximize brand storytelling and press opportunities for Authentic’s iconic and world-renowned brands. This role will also lead all functions of the company’s West Coast Style Studio, a hub to engage with and gift media, stylists, celebrities and VIP’s. 

 

What You'll Do

PR Strategy and Media Monitoring

  • Lead the implementation and amplification of brand PR strategies across the Authentic brand portfolio
  • Cultivate media, stylist & celebrity relationships to maximize brand placements across broadcast, TV/Film, digital, social media and print
  • Leverage and cultivate strong network of media, stylist & celebrity relationships to maximize brand placements across TV/Film, digital, social and print
  • Participate in brand strategy discussions and planning; identify target audiences; determine earned media needs
  • Draft and distribute brand communications for various activities, including partnerships, campaign and product launches, events and more
  • Utilize MuckRack to Monitor, recap and report press coverage and build media lists
  • Work in conjunction with Authentic's Corporate team to ensure the consistent and timely dissemination of brand and marketing highlights to internal groups and external partners around the world

 

West Coast Style Studio and Media Activations

  • Spearhead the next phase of Authentic's Style Studio, an LA-based interactive space where media, stylists, creators and costume designers engage with our brands
  • Collaborate with key teams to execute regular VIP engagement events for media, stylists, celebrities, influencers and partners
  • Work closely with the PR and Integrated Marketing teams to fulfill product gifting and large-scale seeding programs to media, stylists, celebrities, influencers and Authentic’s VIP network
  • Manage consistent, ongoing communication with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring activation plans, execution timelines, deliverables and accountabilities are clear and align with the business
  • Manage key media opportunities and interviews, campaign shoots, content filming, speaking engagements and appearances

 

Must Haves

  • A proactive and innovative storyteller who initiates creative ideas and identifies brand-right opportunities that support the overall marketing strategy and brand business goals
  • Proven track record of leading and executing 360 integrated PR and comms strategies for large-scale global brands with an emphasis on athletic, fashion and lifestyle
  • Ability to create strong working relationships directly with celebrities and talent, producers, publicists, agents and managers, production staff and industry executives
  • Expertise in relationship building with both media and brand partners with the ability to track and prioritize daily, weekly and seasonal deadlines
  • 8+ years of experience working in PR and comms – experience working with talent is a must
  • Strong editorial relationships across top-tier active, sports, fashion, footwear entertainment and lifestyle media
  • Thorough knowledge of media landscape and timely news cycles across print, digital, broadcast and social
  • Has a finger on the pulse of pop culture, including emerging trends, celebrities and digital creators

Primary Location Salary Range:

$100,000 - $125,000
