Position Snapshot
As a Civil Renewables Design Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the design and development of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, & BESS installations. You'll use your expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce detailed site designs, ensuring that our projects are efficient, sustainable, and environmentally responsible.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work remotely or hybrid if you are in a location where Atwell has an existing office.
Day to Day
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop site layouts and infrastructure designs for renewable energy projects
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments efficiently, ensuring they align with established standards. Experience with hydraulics & hydrology modeling using HEC-RES & Hydraflow is a nice to have.
- Gather data for design purposes from survey team and other departments within Atwell.
- Offer valuable construction-related services, such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals. Organize site plans, constructionplans, and construction documents under the guidance of Senior staff.
- Prepare a variety of reports, opinions, and recommendations crucial for project direction. This may include hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer's opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, etc.
