What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a rockstar Social Strategist to join our rapidly growing team. This person will be responsible for developing strategies and communications plans across a number of channels, focusing primarily on TikTok but supporting others like Meta, YouTube, and Twitter. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who has an understanding of both paid/organic strategy & channel planning, and can develop strategic insights and briefs to bring content to life. This person will oversee a community manager and report to the Social Strategy Director, working closely with internal creative and account teams to plan, execute and report on campaign performance.

Responsibilities: 

  • Be the  social expert for internal and client teams, with a specific emphasis on organic TikTok
  • Inform campaign and content planning  projects from inception to completion, developing strategy decks that are inspired by brand objectives, audience insights research
  • Develop social briefs, collaborating with creative teams to inspire great ideas based on research and audience insights. Participate in regular creative and strategy team brainstorming sessions to ensure best practices for the platforms are taken into account in creative content production
  • Stay up to date on trends, culture, and social media platforms, translating them into actionable, data-supported recommendations or creative opportunities
  • Develop playbooks and POVs to inform how our brands should come to life across social media, with a focus on TikTok
  • Craft communication frameworks, channel recommendations, content ecosystems, and go-to market strategies for a variety of different campaigns (organic and paid) on social and off social media
  • Work with analytics teams to translate performance data into actionable insights for our clients, implement learnings from monthly and quarterly reports
  • Help inform and educate clients when it comes to platform specific best practices (including music/trending sounds, influencer strategy, new product features, etc.)
  • Oversee and manage community manager when it comes to process as well as day-to-day responsibilities
  • Work with account and client teams, and continue to see the project through across all its subsequent phases

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of professional creative agency experience in developing social content calendars, briefing creative teams, and creating and implementing social media strategies (organic and paid)
  • Must possess demonstrated success at growing and engaging social media audiences
  • Excels at creating and implementing a successful social strategy for a variety of social platforms, with a focus on TikTok
  • Practiced in briefing creative teams with an ability to mine for insights and trends–inspiring creative teams and clients to do big things
  • Able to think from multicultural perspective–understanding the importance of acknowledging different lived experiences and incorporating them into your work
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to work across multiple projects at once
  • Passion for great storytelling that is related to Gen Z and Millennial audiences
  • Able to partner closely with account and creative leads to define the vision and tone of the brand’s presence across 
  • Experience using  social listening and reporting tools and ability to cull insights from data from online/social sources to inform creative 
  • Reporting experience with an understanding of key performance drivers, and a demonstrated ability to execute against findings
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required, and the ability to effectively interact with individuals across all levels, backgrounds and perspectives
  • Comfortable presenting and providing strategic guidance to client teams

Compensation:

This position has an estimated weekly range of $2,000/week. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.

This is a contract role, 8 weeks to start. This position can be based in Los Angeles or New York. This will be a hybrid role with two days in office.
